Microsoft approached us to create and host the first ever LAN Center based Halo tournament for fans of the IP to raise awareness for the brand among core gamers. This event laid the groundwork for other such events that followed for both large and small video game properties.
iGames selected 100 of their top LAN centers and worked directly with managers to host the event. Working with the Bungie team, they set up and managed the tournament for the client as well as sourced prizing from partners Microsoft, Bose and RCA.
OVER 13,000 PLAYERS AT 100+ LAN CENTERS ATTENDED.
Regional qualifiers were held to find the top 16 players who would move forward
Championship Event hosted at G4TV Studios in Los Angeles, CA - two elimination 8 player FFAs. The top four from each would advance to the finals.
